Established in 1958, Upper Saddle River (USR)'s Volunteer Ambulance Corp is the Basic Life Support Unit providing emergency ambulance service to the community 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Dispatched through the Police Department, our certified EMTs will respond at a moment's notice. New members are always needed and wanted. Email Information or call 201-327-8687.
The USR Junior Ambulance Corps takes members between the ages of 16 and 18. These members provide vital first aid services to the community. Meetings and drills are held on the 1st and 4th Wednesdays of the month.
The following services are also provided to USR residents:
- Non-emergency transportation between hospitals, nursing homes with 24 hour notice. Call 201-327-2700 to make arrangements.
- Walkers, crutches, canes and wheel chairs, at no charge.
- CPR classes, first aid training for scouts, basic first aid training for all age groups, and ambulance awareness and visits to the building toddlers to 8th grade.
