OLD STONE CHURCH ROAD UPDATE -

As most of our residents are aware, the bridge located on the west end of Old Stone Church Road was damaged during a heavy rain storm at the end of June. Due to the extensive damages, the west side of Old Stone Church Road will be closed while Bergen County authorities prepare to reconstruct the bridge. Residents are urged to follow the DETOUR signs that have been posted. Residents are further requested to use caution if they utilize any side streets in the vicinity of the bridge. Officers have been assigned, on a daily basis, to monitor traffic on the side streets in the area of Old Stone Church Road. Numerous summonses have been issued by the Police Department to drivers for violating the posted 25 mph speed limit and for failure to observe traffic control devices. It is anticipated that there will be an increase in traffic due to the bridge closure, so residents are urged to carpool and leave earlier for school drop-off and pick-up.
